Leading the pathway in intelligent power management, Eaton announces the opening of its pioneering 65,000 square-foot factory in Santiago de los Caballeros. This modern facility is designed to accommodate the escalating demand for Eaton’s Bussmann series fuses, essential for the safety of a broad array of applications such as electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy storage projects, and data centers, among others.

Build-up for this ambitious project commenced in February 2024, with the ultimate goal of up-scaling the production of Eaton’s much sought-after protective devices.

Rob Griffin, Vice President and General Manager of Eaton’s Bussmann Division, said, “The rapid expansion of Eaton’s production capacity in Santiago is our strategic response to the global need for intelligent energy management solutions. Eaton has been a stable presence in the Dominican Republic for over three and a half decades, emerging as one of the country’s major manufacturing players. This latest facility in Santiago marks Eaton’s fifth production site in the Dominican Republic.
