In a significant move, Vesper Energy, a key player in the creation and management of large-scale, renewable power infrastructures, declared the disposal of two PJM holdings, the Gaucho Solar and Nestlewood Solar, to Octopus Energy Generation. Octopus Energy Generation has under its management an impressive portfolio of sustainable energy assets globally, with a valuation close to $9 billion. The power generated caters to a renowned Fortune 100 e-commerce player as part of their Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The Nestlewood Solar facility is a pioneer in Ohio's utility-scale solar landscape, being among the initial projects to be permitted, funded, and built. Furthermore, it is one of the earliest American locations to be deemed an energy community under the Inflation Reduction Act. During high-demand periods like midday and late afternoon, the site ensures on-peak power availability.

The project further strengthens the University of Pittsburgh's climate action and sustainability agenda, with roughly 55,000 solar panels situated just 25 miles from the Pittsburgh campus generating power.
